We mentioned a couple of days ago that Skoda would be unveiling an extreme version of its Yeti crossover at Worthersee 2014.
Well, that vehicle has officially been revealed. It is called the Skoda Yeti Xtreme, and is described as a “crisp and robust interpretation of the popular compact SUV”. Whatever it is, it definitely isn’t subtle. The vehicle boasts bright colour accents and Recaro racing seats. It also has yellow rims, carbon fibre door panels, a fire extinguisher, seatbelt cutter and aluminium floors.
This Yeti seems ready to race, but under the bonnet sits a 1,8-litre petrol mill that develops 110 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque – not bad figures by any means, though you certainly won’t be entering any rallies with that powerplant. The Yeti Xtreme is definitely more “show” than “go”. But it is a funky and attention-grabbing show car, which is the point, after all, of Worthersee concepts.
