SsangYong recently revealed its new compact crossover in South Korea.
It’s called the Tivoli and we think it looks rather funky. We haven’t seen the interior yet, but this car has been in development for a few years now, so we’re betting that it’ll be as cool as the exterior.
A lot of research and development has gone into this car and it will be used as a launching platform for a few new engines from SsangYong.
The Tivoli will be available with a 1,6-litre petrol, or 1,6-litre diesel engine. SsangYong says both engines have been tested extensively – from minus 42 degrees in winter conditions, to 50 degrees in the desert.
These engines will be available in manual, as well as automatic.
It’s not yet clear whether the Tivoli will make it to SA, but we’ll let you know as soon as it’s confirmed for our market.
