Yoo Il Lee, CEO of SsangYong Motor Company, has announced the name of its new B-segment crossover to be “Tivoli”.
The car has been named after the Italian town near Rome, Tivoli, known for its style, cultural heritage and beautiful location. The new model gives the car an international standing, while complementing SsangYong’s heritage as a specialist SUV brand.
SsangYong has been working intensively on both the design and product quality for the new crossover for three years. It has been seen in concept form at the recent international motor shows with the project name X100 attached to it.
The Tivoli will be launched in Korea in January 2015 and will be released globally from the second quarter of 2015 onwards.
