Last year the Tokyo Motor Show was flooded with modified Suzuki Jimnys.

It seems the world sees the Jimny as a blank canvas, upon which a person can express themselves. From the few we see on our roads, it’s much the same story over here. A Jimny doesn’t stay standard for long, even if it’s just a set of serious rubber, or a roof rack.
We expect to see more interesting creations later this month when the Tokyo Motor Show returns, but for now we’ll have to be content with some digital renderings.
This latest offering comes courtesy of Kolesa.ru and it’s basically a Jimny double cab.
Obviously a project like this would require a lot of effort, because a double cab requires two extra doors and a usable load bin. That means extending the wheelbase, which should have an impact on the design.
Somehow, however, it seems to work. It’s like a Jeep Gladiator shrunk to 50% of its original size.
Suzuki has no plans to produce a double cab Jimny, but that doesn’t mean we can’t put it on the list of 4x4s we’d love to own.
