Actor Matthew McConaughey has been riding a wave of success lately. His roles in movies such as Mud, Dallas Buyers Club and The Wolf of Wall Street has allowed him to reinvigorate his career. He even bagged an Oscar for his performance in Dallas Buyers Club.
Following his recent success, Lincoln in the US has employed the actor as its official spokesperson. The deal stretches over several years, and will see McConaughey punting a range of their vehicles.
McConaughey does of course have a previous association with Lincoln. The actor starred in the film adaptation of Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer, which saw him playing a lawyer who conducts all his business from the back a Lincoln sedan.
The first Lincoln ads starring McConaughey should be released soon. The first ad will star the Lincoln MKC crossover.
