The Toyota Hilux is known as a capable and reliable workhorse and not as a luxury bakkie. However Polish company Carlex Design have taken a Hilux zhooshed it up.
Carlex recently worked with MS-RT Road Technology to transform a Ford Ranger, dubbed the Ranger VR46, into an aftermarket product of note and now the shop’s latest built is this rugged-looking Toyota Hilux, with luxurious styling inside.
A custom body kit has been fitted to the exterior, giving the Hilux a new front and rear bumpers, spoiler and larger wheels arches. The bonnet gets a cover. The bakkie also gets BF Goodrich tyres and has then been vinyl wrapped to give the exterior look more clout . The wheelbase has been extended and a Pedders suspension lift-kit added.
Hand-stitched black leather upholstery covers the seats, dash, and steering wheel and new rubber floor mats have been added. In addition this Hilux gets a new audio system, and ‘soundproof doors’.
There are no changes to the engine and Carlex say the kit can be applied to any engine derivative.
