Toyota returns to rally with fuel cell Mirai

Toyota recently announced that it would return to the WRC in 2017.

To give fans a taste of what they can expect, it also entered a Mirai fuel cell vehicle into the recent Rally Germany.

The Mirai featured special brake pads, rally tyres and a roll cage, but the powertrain was untouched. Even so, it had enough power to get the car to 100km/h in 9,6 seconds, which is mighty impressive for a relatively new technology.
