Mitsubishi Motors South Africa has launched a “very limited edition” of the popular Mitsubishi Triton Xtreme, available in both 4×4 and 4×2 double-cab body styles.
The Triton Xtreme limited edition – fitted with the all-new 2.4-litre MIVEC turbo diesel engine (133 kW and 430Nm) – gets a unique body-styling kit and black and chrome alloy wheels fitted with Cooper Adventurer All-terrain tyres.
In addition to the new wheels and tyres, the body kit comprises a tonneau cover, style bar, tailgate and fuel flap cover, bonnet guards, grille, fog lamp and wheel arch covers, front and rear light guards, door handle covers. It also comes with a Triton branded scuff plates, heavy-duty rubber mats. The factory-fitted body kit (and all other Xtreme accessories) are covered by the original manufacturer’s factory warranty.
According to Mitsubishi, the value of the added features and equipment is R60 000 and these are being offered to customers at a third of the price, as the Triton Xtreme comes at a R20 000 premium over the listed retail price of the standard Triton double-cab derivative.
“Many of the items included in the Triton Xtreme Limited Edition package, such as the exclusive black and chrome alloy wheels, usually are the first accessories new buyers fit to their bakkies,” says Nic Campbell, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors South Africa (MMSA), adding that it now is part and parcel of the new limited-edition package.
The Triton Xtreme Limited Edition is available in 4×2 and 4×4 double-cab configuration with the 4×4 derivatives available in manual- and automatic transmission.
“All fitments are done and quality-checked by Mitsubishi SA, using imported body kits, which means all the additional Xtreme accessories are covered by the original manufacturer’s factory warranty,” concludes Campbell.
