Turkish police use fake cars to stop speeding

We all know that speeding is a huge problem in South Africa.

The easiest way to stop people from speeding is having a visible police force, but the police can’t be everywhere at all times.

The police in Turkey came up with a cunning, yet simple plan to stop people from driving over the limit.

The Turkish police basically created life-size cardboard cut-outs of their police vehicles, as seen from the side. It’s fairly obvious when you view it up close, but from far away it looks like a real car. It even has a small solar panel to run the flashing lights.

This idea found favour across the globe, with police departments as far away as the UK complimenting the Turkish police for their brilliant idea.
