Volvo launched the third Cross Country model at the LA Auto Show.
The V60 Cross Country sportswagon is an all-wheel drive version of the V60 with the additions of off-road elements in the form of skid plates in the front and back, plastic cladding at the wheel arches, and a raised ride height by 65mm from the standard Volvo V60.
The V60 Cross Country will also be equipped with 18- and 19-inch wheels wearing high profile rubber.
American and Canadian buyers will be the first to receive the Volvo V60 Cross Country’s which will contain Volvo’s five cylinder 242kW T6 petrol engine with All-Wheel Drive that has been paired to an automatic transmission.
The new Volvo V60 Cross Country is expected to arrive in South Africa during the second half of 2015 with two AWD derivatives, both being automatic transmission. The Volvo V60 Cross Country D4 AWD will produce 140kW while the Volvo V60 Cross Country T5 AWD generates 187kW. More specs along with the prices will be revealed closer to its launch in SA.
