Volvo working on remote refilling?

by Leisure Wheels

9 February 2015

Volvo’s engineers are apparently working on what could possibly be the best system in the history of automotive production.

If they can work the kinks out of it, you’d never have to visit a fuel station ever again.

It’s basically a remote fuel refilling service and the car will do it all by itself. The car sends out a message when it’s running low on fuel and then a man with a tanker comes and refills it while you’re busy with your life.

The operator would receive a one-time code to gain access to the fuel tank, which means you don’t have to worry that someone else is going to come along and steal your petrol.

At this point it’s only rumour, but it would be fantastic if something like this would make it into production.
