The Volvo XC90 that has generated a lot of excitement in its segment now has a new entry-level variant, known as the T5.
Introduced in the US as an addition to the T6 and T8 models, the new XC90 T5 comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 186kW and 350Nm of torque. There is a choice between front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and the transmission is eight-speed automatic .
The XC90 T5 will only be available with seating for five, rather than the seven of the T6 and T8 models. Despite having less seating it still has lots of bells and whistles including 10-way power adjustable front seats, a navigation system with a 12.3-inch digital display, cruise control, Bluetooth, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, keyless entry/start, a sunroof, engine stop/start, rear parking sensors and a review camera and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Optional extras include a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, full LED headlights, heated front and rear seats, adaptive cruise control, a heated steering wheel, blind spot warning and a 360-degree view camera.
