Volkswagen has finally taken the wraps off the all-new T6, or kombi, as it’s affectionately known as in SA. It looks more or less the same as the model it replaces, but there are significant changes to the interior.
There’s an all-new dashboard with metallic inserts and an advanced infotainment system. The touch-screen senses when someone is about to touch it, allowing it to swap over to input mode. It also makes use of a swiping function to move through the various menus.
Power is provided by two 2,0-litre engines. The diesel motor’s outputs vary from 62kW all the way up to 150kW. The petrol model can be installed with either 110kW or 150kW on tap.
International sales are set to start right away, but no SA release date has yet been set.
