WIN with GoPro & BOS with your videos

GoPro and South Africa’s BOS Ice Tea have come together to sponsor the second Wavescape Shortcuts short film contest.

How to enter

Short films depicting extreme sports of any kind – surfing, mountain biking, off-roading – can be entered, and the prizes come to a value of R30 000. Short films must be between half a minute and five minutes in length, and can take any form – a documentary, fiction, or just action shots set to music. Submissions will be published on Wavescape and reviewed by peers, so get your friends to like them, as this counts for 40% of the judges’ decision.

“Short films are a great format for sharing your adventure sports experiences with friends. In the digital age almost anyone with passion can tell an adventure story and share it with a wide online audience,” says Dewald de Jager of GoPro.  “GoPro is making it incredibly easy to create, manage, edit and share high quality video using innovations like the GoPro app and newly released GoPro Studio, which encourage creativity and self-expression in the action sports community. Anyone can now download the GoPro Studio application for free and edit a great video using one of the templates provided. It’s that easy.”

What you can win

Prizes include R30 000 in GoPro cameras, a BOS surfboard, a year’s supply of BOS drinks and a R5000 cash bonus if the winning film was shot using a GoPro camera.

The competition runs until 30 November – so get those creative juices flowing! Winning entries will be screened at the Wavescape Surf Festival in Cape Town in December.
