The World Car of the Year finalists have been announced and once again the list includes a number of SUVs and crossovers.
A jury of 73 international automotive journalists, including two locals, chose the finalists.
The list includes:
Audi A4
BMW X1
Hyundai X1
Jaguar XE
Land Rover Discovery Sport
Mazda CX-3
Mazda MX-5
Mercedes GLC
Skoda Superb
Toyota Prius
The winner will be announced at the New York Motor Show on 24 March.
