Zone Off-Road has launched a new range of high-performance accessories for the Jeep Wrangler JK.
We drove one of its Hemi conversions a few years ago and it was quite a monster.
The new performance range consists of a variety of products for both petrol and diesel models.
The Armax upgrade includes and engine control unit, extreme duty clutch kit, a high output exhaust system and a one-of-a-kind snorkel.
On the petrol side there’s the Sprintex Supercharger, which is a bolt on kit for the 3.6-litre V6 engine. Zone claims a power increase of 54% and a torque increase of 28%.
According to Zone, this system is engineered to OEM specification and it can be removed in less than a day should you decide to sell your Jeep.
The next level up is the Hemi conversion.
The conversion takes approximately 40-hours to complete, and once it’s done, the 5.7-litre V8 JK’s power output will increase from 209 kW to 295 kW. Thanks to HEMI’s Multiple-Displacement System, their 5.7-litre V8 has the ability to run on four cylinders under part-throttle conditions. Zone claims this leads to better fuel consumption.
Is it fast?
Well, Zone doesn’t quote official figures but it does state that you’ll be able to give Golf GTI owners a run for their money, even on 37-inch wheels.
