The Lexus LX 570 has been updated for 2016 with cosmetic changes that include a new trapezoidal front grille that gives the vehicle a more aggressive look and new LED headlights, indicators and foglights.
The rear lights are L-shaped and wider than previously and the wheels are 20-inch two-tone alloy.
While the new Lexus keeps the 5.7 litre V8 petrol engine that delivers 270 kW of power and 530 Nm of torque – it adds a new transmission. For 2016 the LX 570 drops the six-speed for an eight-speed automatic transmission.
There is also a diesel option, the LX 450d, in the form of a 4.5 litre V8 with an output of 195 kW and 650 Nm of torque available from 1600 rpm onwards, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
New additional safety features include the Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a tyre inflation pressure warning that gives pressure readings for each tyre.
Seat ventilation and heating for both front and second row passengers as well as roof rails and a rear sunshade are some of the extra luxury features and the multi-media system s equipped with a new 12.3-inch display and the system can display linked information such as audio information, navigation instructions, vehicle speed etc. across all three screens.
