Alfa Romeo refreshes the Stelvio

by Leisure Wheels

8 May 2020

Alfa Romeo recently introduced a refreshed version of the Stelvio.

Exterior wise, you’re looking at new LED taillamps and glossy black finishes on the badges at the front and rear.

You can always make the hotter versions stand out even more, thanks to some newly-developed Mopar accessories. Examples include carbon fibre finishes for the grille and spoiler.

Interior wise it’s essentially the same, but there are a few additions. The infotainment system’s size has been increased to 8.8-inches, which should make it much easier to use.

There’s also a new leather steering wheel and gear lever.

From there the upgrades are rather Italian. You can, for example, tick the option for the carbon Sparco seats if the standard leather and Alcantara seats aren’t good enough. You can also choose between red, green or black seatbelts.

A new Akrapovič exhaust is also available as an optional extra, which should make an epic noise. We drove the pre-facelift car and the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 makes one of the all-time great noises.

Alfa Romeo also used this opportunity to introduce some new advanced safety features, which means the Alfa now features level 2 autonomy.

We haven’t received word on when these models will be introduced locally.

If you need a reminder of what this car sounds like, watch the video below.
