Nissan Australia has obviously kept a close eye on the Ford Ranger Raptor’s success, because it recently introduced a direct rival.

It’s called the N-Trek Warrior and it’s based on the 4×4 double cab 2.3-litre model.
For help, Nissan turned to Premcar, which is a team of Australian engineers that specialise in this sort of thing.
The result is a bakkie with an upgraded suspension, bigger off-road tyres and an additional 40mm of ground clearance.

Nissan claims the uprated springs and dampers have had no effect on the Navara’s ride quality, but has given it the ability to be worked harder on a gravel road.
To ensure the bigger tyres don’t scrape, the fenders were modified.
In addition to all of this, the Warrior also comes with stainless-steel underbody protection, LED bar and 17-inch alloys.
The engine remains unchanged, with 140kW and 450Nm available. Customers can, however, choose between a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic.
