Volkswagen’s small Polo-based SUV is set to hit the market before the end of 2018.
The crossover will act as VW’s entry-level SUV and rival the likes of the Renault Captur, Opel Mokka and Peugeot 2008. Based on the T-Cross Breeze concept, it will be built at the same Spanish factory as the latest Polo.
The SUV will share a platform with the Polo, as well as its small three-cylinder petrol and diesel powertrains and four-cylinder units.
A petrol-electric hybrid is also expected to be used in place of the 1.6-litre diesel mil.
