Recipe: Macaroni with Chicken and Bacon

 This is an easy and tasty dish that should feed two adults and two kids with ease.

What you need

  • 250 – 300g macaroni
  • 250g bacon
  • 250g chicken
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 can of Chakalaka
  • A pinch of garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 1 tub of Ina Paarman chicken stock powder
  • 30ml chutney
  • 60ml mayonaise
  • 1 cup of water
  • 125ml Country Pasture Housewife’s cheese powder (found at most supermarkets)

What to do

  • Fry the chopped onion, bacon and garlic until the bacon is done
  • Now add all your other ingredients, mix very well, and place in oven-safe dish
  • Bake for around 35 minutes in an oven that has been pre-heated to 180 degrees Celsius
  • Tip: Do not fry the chicken in advance, otherwise it will be overdone and unpleasant by the end of the process
